Media Asia, the guys who made Infernal Affairs and produced its remake, The Departed, are at it again. This time, Variety reports, the story revolves around five 90's gangsters living out their last days in Macau, shortly before the territory was handed back to China.

This marks the third Media Asia remake announced in the past year: first The Departed, then the upcoming Leo DiCaprio flick Confession Pain, and now this.

Media Asia's US track record so far has been 1 and 0, so hopes should be high – The Departed may be one of the few remakes in history that was slightly better than its source material.
