News > Woody Allen casts Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood

Written by Lucas C Haberstich

In what could prove to be the most neurotic team-up in film history, EW announces Larry David (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm) will play the lead in Woody Allen's next movie.  Across the Universe's Evan Rachel Wood will co-star.  There are no plot details available at this time, but the untitled project will mark Allen's return to filming in his beloved New York City after shooting his last four movies abroad.

The comedy potential of a Woody Allen/Larry David pairing is huge.  If you have any doubts, say "these pretzels are making me thirsty" until they go away.

Shooting is scheduled for the spring with a 2009 release.
