Music producer Mark Ronson has told Sky News that he and Amy Winehouse have abandoned their plans to record the theme to "Quantum of Solace," the twenty-second Bond film. Ronson said the drug-afflicted singer is "not ready to record any music" and that it would take "some miracle of science" to finish the track (The Hollywood Reporter). It's a sad situation for Winehouse, but I like the way Ronson turns a phrase. The LATimes makes an interesting case for why this is a good turn of events.
No word on who Winehouse's replacement will be yet.
