John C. Reilly, Josh Hutcherson and Chris Kelly are in negotiations to star in Cirque du Freak, an adaptation of the kids' lit series to be directed by Paul Weitz.

The book follows two friends (Hutcherson and Kelly) who attend an illegal freak show featuring an ancient vampire and a giant spider. Of course, something goes wrong and the pair find themselves forced into vampiric servitude to Larten Crepsley.

Reilly is in talks to play the vampire according to The Hollywood Reporter.
