Apatow regulars Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks are taking the lead roles in Kevin Smith's latest, Zack & Miri Make a Porno. The film is already under production rights from The Weinstein Company and Dimension, which shows a little brand loyalty between Smith and the 'Steins.

The film follows two lifelong, platonic friends stuck in debt who decide to enlist their friends and make a porno for cash. Of course, they begin to realize there may actually be a spark of real passion behind the bon-chicka-wah-wah according to Variety.

Awkward sex comedies are Rogen's bread and butter right now, so it only works to re-pair him with his fellow 40-Year Old Virgin co-star. But can Kevin Smith prove he still has it when it comes to obscene references, sexual acts and–oh, who are we kidding? Of course he does. He's Kevin Smith. If he can translate at least an eighth of the material he gives on his auditorium/Con discussions, Zack & Miri will be hilarious. It is a bit ironic though that Smith is importing two of Judd Apatow's crew, but we'll raise an eyebrow only if Jonah Hill or Bill Hader show up.
