20th Century Fox had decided to move forward with the sequel to Wall Street with Allan Loeb behind the screenplay. In the Variety article they also hint that Michael Douglas might reprise his role as the infamous Gordon Gekko.
"Allan Loeb ("21") has been tapped to pen the screenplay, which is being fast-tracked by the studio as a Michael Douglas starrer, though the actor is not formally attached,"
I wonder how this is trully going to play out, I get that there is an economic crisis and we are all eager for a Wall Street bashing film but a rule of thumb…. Leave the classics alone! What's next, Ferris Beuler's Day off, again, at age 40?
