News > Uwe Boll and Postal vs Steven Spielberg and Indiana Jones

Written by David Morgan

Uwe Boll, the infamous director of films such as House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and much more, recently sent an email to BloodyDisgusting.com informing them that he would be releasing his film Postal on May 23rd. In case anyone hasn't marked their calendars, that is in fact the same day that Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters. Boll addressed the coming confrontation in the email, calling Spielberg out on his directorial skills.

On the Indiana Jones weekend - May 23 - we will go out and destroy Indiana Jones in the Box Office! We all know that Harrison Ford is older as my grandpa and his time is up - would Michael Moore say!

I've seen Michael Moore's earlier documentaries but I didn't get around to seeing Sicko. Is that what it was about?

Spielberg gets sloppy. We saw that with War of the Worlds (why the fuck the older brother survived?) and also in parts of Jaws, E.T., Munich etc.! My performance in Postal as 'Nazi Theme Park Owner' outperforms easily Ben Kingsley in Schindler's List!

Ah, well that sounds like something to look forward to.

Here's the plot description provided by BD for Postal. I actually hadn't seen it before myself:

POSTAL: Living on Social Security and unemployed, DUDE desperately seeks employment, but instead finds a life of violent action and adventure when he teams up with his UNCLE DAVE, a financially strapped cult leader, in an effort to rip off an amusement park, only to find that the Taliban are trying the same heist simultaneously.

You know, something about the Taliban robbing an amusement park owned by a Nazi is making me reconsider which movie I'll see that weekend.

Is this a joke! How did something like that get green lighted? I can only imagine the sales pitch to the studio!
