News > Two and Half Hours of Transformers!?!

The good folk over at Collider scored an interview with Indy Jr. himself Mr. Shia Labeouf, and within it he dropped a few hints about running time of Michael Bay's robot blockbuster and just how friggin' action packed this robo-beast of movie is going to be.  Labeouf says:

"It's going to be long. He's going to give you a lot. You've got 20 set pieces. You like at Spider-Man and it had five big action sequences - five set pieces. We have 20, and you've got to get storyline in, you've got to get the narrative in, so a lot of explanation. You can't just have robots fighting for no reason. You've got to explain it. The movies going to run, I think, about two and a half."

Obviously, Labeouf has never seen Bad Boys II, because Bay certainly doesn't try to explain anything in that film, but nonetheless this, coupled with the fantastic fight shots Filmwad dropped right here today, has me frothing at the mouth.  This is probably the film I'm most anticipating right now, not only because of my geekish love of the original Transformer toys, but because anything Michael Bay does (though it may be corny and overly patriotic) is always a step higher in the action department then anything else.  Michael Bay + fighting robots = one great big "o" face.
