Sylvester Stallone is interested in remaking the 1974 vigilante classic Death Wish. The original starred Charles Bronson as a mild-mannered architect who goes on a brutal mission of justice after his wife and daughter are raped and/or murdered. MGM is hoping to begin production in March if the writers strike is settled in short order. In that event, the script will be written by Michael Ferris and John Brancato.
Just goes to show, some remakes are more pointless than others. Besides, James Wan's Death Sentence basically was a pseudo-sequel/remake to Death Wish (it was based on the novel that was a sequel to Death Wish).
