Avi Arad, the guy responsible for producing pretty much every comic book movie of the last twenty years despite not being able to pronounce their titles correctly, recently told IGN that the Spider-Man series will not end with part 3. Even though Tobey Maguire expressed serious hesitation about returning to the role of Peter Parker for fourth installment, Arad says the series will continue anyway. Says Arad:

"No, never conclusions. This story has been going on a long time and it will continue going. There's some issues that will come not to an end but to a conclusion, but Peter Parker's story will continue forward. He's still young. The love story will always be the ruling thing in his life. It's always about the girl so, no, it's just number three."

If that sentence doesn't make you laugh with slightly xenophobic glee, read it again. "No, never conclusions…there's some issues that will come…to a conclusion." Reminds me of something a wiseman once told me:

"If you making at the strange road sign and you see the fish and you look throw the fish."
