Seth Rogen, now one of the biggest talents in Hollywood, spoke on a few of his projects recently, including the upcoming Green Hornet, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Pineapple Express, and some upcoming properties that will definitely be of interest.

The Green Hornet, a remake of the 70's cult classic, is in Rogen's hands to be remade. “We’re looking for a director currently. The studio says they want to make it – they want to shoot it around February or March. They want it to come out in June of 2010. It looks like it’s gonna happen! We just have to find a director – we’re meeting with some people.”

What Rogen didn't know was that Zack and Miri director Kevin Smith had already started on the project previously.

“I didn’t realize until I started working on it that he had written like a whole draft – and was gonna direct it. It just all fell apart. He told me his idea, I told him my idea – they could not be more different. I think we’ve got a little more freedom than he did – with the material and so on – which, you know, is great for us! [Laughs]”

Allegedly, Danny McBride, co-star of Pineapple Express, wants to play the role of Kato. (Personally, I think that's a horrendous idea...let's get a real Asian to play an Asian, shall we?"

Zack and Miri Make a Porno is coming along nicely, having tested in a few markets already. Rogen says, “It’s great. I think it’s a really sweet romantic-comedy. It’s obviously really filthy… but it’s a great romantic movie.”

Pineapple Express hasn't even been released yet, but they're already considering a follow up. “They’re been wanting us to do a sequel to Superbad for so long – but we’ve held off. We eventually said No. But this one, it’s not a precious coming-of-age story like Superbad, it’s a weed action-movie and if it did well, and they gave us like $50 million dollars (as opposed to the $26M we got for this one) we could benefit from that.”

Finally, there's an untitled Judd Apatow comedy in the works, and rumored to be joining Rogen will be Eric Bana. “There’s a role in the movie for an actor that you normally wouldn’t imagine acting with our crew. We just said ‘What about Eric Bana? He’s supposed to be really funny’. He is really hilarious in “Chopper” – not that it’s a comedy – and I’m just really excited to meet him.”

Bana was also really funny in Ang Lee's Hulk, but we won't hold that against him. Others joining Rogen and Bana? “Right now it’s me, Adam Sandler, Eric Bana, Leslie Mann, Jonah [Hill] from Superbad, and Jason Schwartzmann. I’ve been friends with Schwartzmann for almost ten years now. I’m really excited to work with those guys now.”
