Someone needs to buy Martin Scorsese some new albums. He's one of my favorite filmmakers, but it might be time to move on past the 1960s. His new documentary and concert film Shine a Light is a career-spanning depiction of the Rolling Stones. And according to comingsoon.net, Shine is getting the IMAX treatment. It will be released nationwide on September 21st, 2007, the same day it begins its IMAX run. I don't particularly care for concert films, but that's got to be the way to see one. Especially knowing how beautiful Scorsese's camera can make things.
