Samuel J L.ackson is set to star as "Sho'nuff" in Columbia Pictures' remake of Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon.  According to the Hollywood Reporter Jackson will be the KungFu master belting out "Am I the baddest mofo lowdown around this town? in the classic 80s remake.  John Davis and Gordy's son Kerry Gordy are producing with Wu-Tang Clan's RZA is co-producing.

The updated plot will be along the same lines of the original, centering on young martial arts student Leroy Green in his quest through the streets of New York to achieve the highest level of martial arts accomplishment, known as the Last Dragon. Those who achieve the high ranking possess the Glow, making them the greatest fighter alive.

No remake required. This movie could be re-released in the theaters today and make millions (if there weren't any DVD, VHS, or electronic media copies available to watch.) Who's Bruce Leroy going to be - Nick Cannon? don't remake it.
