Sam Raimi and Terry Goodkind, the guy that did the Sword of Truth books, are doing a new series. It's called Legend of the Seeker, sounds pretty Buffy the Vampire Slayer-ish. Here's the comic con panel from this year:

For the sake of clarity, it is a series based on the Sword of Truth books.
