Rosario Dawson is partnering with Stan Rogow, Brent Friedman, and Jeff Sagansky to produce and star in The Gemini Division, a science fiction internet series that incorporates both live action and motion-capture animation. The Hollywood Reporter suggests that this could also lead to a Gemini TV series, feature film and video game. Good thing we have FilmWad, TubeWad, and GameWad all set up and ready for them. The trio's Electric Farm Entertainment will produce 100 three-minute web episodes about Dawson's character, an NYC detective investigating the murder of her husband who somehow "uncovers a global conspiracy involving the creation of simulated live forms that have assimilated with the unsuspecting public." Dawson's previous experience with science fiction includes the comic book she created Occult Crimes Taskforce, which she plans to star in if/when it becomes a feature film (it's currently being developed at the Weinstein Co.). Is it just me or is she the fanboy's dream girl? No wonder Kevin Smith loves her.
