Director Rob Cohen has signed on to direct modern day pirate film The Sea Artist. According to Slashfilm it will be written by Tony Puryear, who got some fan rave when he wrote a script for Buck Rogers.
Rumor has it that as for the script it "is getting a thumbs up from the few who’ve managed to lay hands on it."
Other than that there really isn't a lot of other facts I can get you on this one, but as soon as they start making their way out of the wood work I will pass along. Concept sounds solid since every other day I hear something about these RPG wielding, AK-47 toting Somali Pirates and the havoc that they are causing.
