Ryan Reynolds is expected to co-star with Sandra Bullock in the upcoming romantic comedy The Proposal. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing the film scripted by Peter Chiarelli. The film is also being executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, whose names you might remember from the credits of Transformers, Mission Impossible III, and the upcoming Star Trek XI.

 

The story, according to Hollywood Reporter, follows a demanding female boss who faces deportation to Canada. As a result, she convinces her young assistant (Reynolds) to enter into a sham marriage with her to buy her some time. Uh, plot hole alert? Doesn't she have a magic mailbox? Why doesn't she just send her application renewal forms to Keanu Reeves two years ago, and he'll send them to the INS with plenty of time to spare? Problem solved, no need to marry Ryan Reynolds.
