According to Variety, Robert De Niro left "Edge of Darkness" over "creative differences," after two days on set.

Ray Winstone will replace De Nero along side Mel Gibson.

The story centers around the murder of a woman. Winstone will play the operative sent in to clean up evidence. Gibson will play the woman's father, who happens to be a detective and is looking for answers after his daughter is shot on his door step.
