News > Ratner and Tucker Back Together for Sinatra

Written by David Morgan

Chris Tucker, as you may know, has only made three films in the past ten years (six films if you count his three from 1997) and they've all been Rush Hour movies. Once again, Brett Ratner has lured Tucker out of semi-retirement to play Frank Sinatra's valet in a period piece about Ol' Blue Eyes.

New Line has optioned the book Mr. S: My Life With Frank Sinatra. Ratner will produce and direct the film, told from the point of view of George Jacobs, Sinatra's valet from 1953-1968. Jacobs wrote the tell-all with William Stadiem, who will in turn work on the screenplay.

Variety reports that the book is made up of anecdotal stories surrounding old Hollywood celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Peter Lawford, the Kennedys, Ava Gardner, Humphrey Bogart, Mia Farrow, Elvis Presley, Swifty Lazar, and Marlene Dietrich.

Jay Stern will produce with Adam Fields (Donnie Darko).
