On And Justice League's Wonder Woman is.... at 12/01/2007 02:30am
Good casting. She looks the part. It is going to be difficult to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen and be able to make it serious, a la Batman Begins style. Because after all, Wonder Woman wears stars on her tiny pants and swings a rope while deflecting bullets with her wristbands. I am rooting for this to work, but it's gonna be tough to pull it off.
On The Joker Is Here! Again! at 11/27/2007 11:50pm
I want to see the Joker in action. I hear he is absolutely insane. Such a long wait until May! ;;

On Christian Bale as John Connor in Terminator 4? at 11/22/2007 4:13pm
vadmspartan , I am not sure if he is on contract for a 3rd Batman ( I assume he is) but he has expressed enthusiasm, or at least interest, in doing a 3rd one. I do not remember the exact words but it had to do with the ending of Dark Knight being good and set up so that a third one would be nice, or would work well if they get to do it.
On First Footage of the "Cloverfield" Monster at 11/20/2007 8:27pm
I just wanna see stuff get broken. "Big monster on the rampage" hasn't been done for a while (except for the Kong reboot), bring it on.
On Poltergeist Remake May be on the Way at 11/15/2007 3:03pm
Let's just remake everything! Don't like this movie? Don't worry, just wait 10-15 years for the reboot. Weeee!
On Shutter Island reteams Scorsese and DiCaprio at 10/23/2007 2:49pm
Good to hear. I also liked their collaboration on The Aviator and Gangs of New York.
On The 10 Worst Special Effects in Films at 10/23/2007 08:32am
I have to agree with the Mummy Returns. That Scorpion King looked godawful. It was supposed to be scary, not hilarious!
On Today's Remake Rumor: The Birds. at 10/19/2007 09:29am
Is there no shame? Re-making Hitchcock? Who do they think they are? But I like Naomi Watts as the girl... a lot. But where do you draw the line on the remakes? What's next, a Godfather remake by Brett Rattner? Some films should not be fucked with. The Birds is a classic, while not argued as his best work. Still... ok end rant.
On 10 Things that Only Happen in Movies at 10/15/2007 11:58am
#16) Buddy cops causing enormous amounts of damage to city (and private) property with no accountability.
#17) Enemies are always horrible, horrible shots with their weapons, but you rarely miss.
#18) The child wiz-kid cop-out. See Jurassic Park. The famliy is trapped and the security systems are down and password protected. The dinosaurs are closing in. The 8-yr old daughter announces "Wait, this is UNIX! I know this stuff!", then proceeds to fix everything with a few sudden keystrokes.
On If You Love 300, You Might be an Idiot at 10/03/2007 11:08am
the film was never intended to be historically accurate. it is not even based directly on the battle of thermopalae (spelling?). it is based on a COMIC which was based on the battle... this movie was not meant to educate you about history! it is simply a graphic novel comic book realized into film! enjoy it for that value! because in that regard, it was impeccably good. sometimes exact illustrations in frames brought to life, down to the details of the wolf's eyes and the persians being pushed off the cliff.
On Doctor Who writer takes on Tintin at 10/02/2007 10:35am
This seems really ambitious. Do many people even know what or who Tintin is? Is there a fanbase and audience for this? Is there enough interest out there to justify committing to a complete trilogy of this 50's cartoon character news reporter? Maybe there is.
On Today's Filmwad Rant: Where The Hell Are All The October Horror Flicks? at 10/01/2007 12:17pm
I am still amazed that the powers that be could not postpone the release of Zombie's "Halloween" reboot until Halloween the holiday. Seems like an obvious choice to me, but noooo. That's why we can't have nice things.
On Today's Filmwad Rant: Stop Fronting on "Death Proof" at 09/25/2007 2:06pm
I love Tarantino. I saw the full double feature in the theater. However, the one problem I have with Death Proof which I cannot seem to shake is why didn't the girls simply stop the damn car? Especially since they were quite capable of kicking ass. The villain shows up, Zoe is out there about to die and slide off the hood, I was like "um, pull over? slow down? wtf?" But I still love Tarantino and look forward to his next project.

On Today's FilmWad Rant: Grindhouse DVDs Shouldn't Have Been Separated at 09/20/2007 11:43pm
I want the entire Grindhouse experience, not the shows separate. Those trailers in between were AWESOME! Remember the kickass Michael Biehn clips. I want the entire show like I saw in the theater, not separated.
On Fun Rumors: Bale may be Solid Snake at 09/13/2007 12:53pm
This makes me remember that article on here called "Why Christian Bale is a complete Badass" or something. He is just great and would do this role justice.

I don't know much about Iron Man but I am sold on this movie. It looks fantastic. I hope it's good.
