On FEATURED: An Open Letter to Parents Who Bring Their Children to Extremely Violent Horror Films at 02/21 11:10pm
well, I can agree with a lot of what you're saying; movie theaters and toddlers definitely don't mix, and any movie, especially horror movies, should not be used in place of a daycare service. At the same time, I'd like to go back to your point of how the content of the movie makes little difference to the child in question, intricacies and all, therefore it makes no different how blood-and-smut filled the movie is. I can also say that I know several families who let their young children/toddlers watch such "outrageous" movies (my own included), and I'd like to think that we don't fit the stereotype you presume. At the same time, we did watch most of these movies at home, so this may not directly apply in it's entirety.
Either way, the rant definitely has open roots, but keep in mind that stereotypes, especially those created in anger, are often mis-guided and over-bearing.
