I have no desire to see this film, just like I have no desire to hear jokes about him, or watch "Li'l Bush." After eight miserable years, I want nothing of the guy. I don't want to know what makes him tick, I don't want to hear jokes at his expense; I'm just so weary of him I just want him to go away.

You're right and wrong — Monster House was cartoony, but it was also mo-cap (IMDB lists the working title as "Zemeckis/Spielberg Motion Capture Project" even). It's one of the better uses of mo-cap, I've seen actually — the character movements are great without seeming bizarre (a la Polar Express).
