On Best and Worst of 2008 at 01/08/2009 12:29pm

The ending to The Wrestler made me laugh it was so bad, they did a good job up until the last 10 minutes, then they ruined it. I put The Wrestler on their in spite of the ending. No one can deny that the acting in Gran Torino was pathetic, and that's Eastwood's fault, it ruined the movie. The acting in Super Troopers was more believable than the acting in Gran Torino, minus Eastwood of course.

On Slammin Salmon Red Band Trailer at 01/07/2009 6:09pm

Looks like the movie Waiting with Ryan Reynolds... yawn. Can't wait for Super Troopers II though!

On Best and Worst of 2008 at 01/05/2009 2:22pm

I didn't think MILK was that great so I can't handle gay culture? That's quite a leap of judgement you're making. I think some of these films receive attention only based on the fact that they're centered around a gay plot, and this one takes the cake. Brokeback Mountain was much better, and actually deserved the attention.

Yes I realize Tom Cruise was speaking in a German accent during his writings in the beginning, but as an actor getting paid an ungodly amount of money it would have been nice to see that throughout the whole movie. Some of the actors were indeed German, so yes, some of the other actors did use a German accent.

Frost / Nixon is officially filed as an historical biographical drama, so yes it is an historical movie. Just because one or two scenes didn't happen in real life, doesn't make it non-historical.

I was hoping for constructive criticism, something I could actually use. The first comment gives no reasons, and you're points are all void based on what I've said above.

On Halo movie concept art surfaces at 08/17/2008 01:17am

The only thing Neil ever did was direct a couple of commercials and some video game promos. While I think he'd a be good fit for the Halo movies, I highly doubt he'd do much better than any other decently qualified director in Hollywood.

A forum wouldn't be a bad addition...

On New Sheriff in Town at 07/15/2008 12:01pm

Honestly, why would you bump the Guillermo del Toro piece back to the top? Or in any case, why would you leave it up at all? You're trying to revamp, but you're not starting out on the right foot.

On Why the hell are you excited for Transformers 2? at 06/22/2008 12:23pm

You guys can nit-pick it all you want, but the bottom line is... it made a lot of money and remains in the top-20 all-time grossing films, it was nominated for an academy award (yes mattjumbo, that would be an oscar), and its fanbase greatly exceeds all the simpletons who feel the need to bash it.

You can't argue with facts...

mr.vandemar, the military base was attacked by two robots, while the village in Qatar was attacked by only one robot. Which, I may add, was a lot smaller and less effective than the other robot who attacked the military base.

The fanboys in this argument need to chill out, sorry Bay didn't use stop motion filming with the original toys.

On Why the hell are you excited for Transformers 2? at 06/21/2008 1:16pm

Apparently you don't watch the greatest cartoon ever, the emmy award winning South Park, so I won't warrant that question with an answer. Transformers was still nominated for an academy award, and considering it was a blow 'em up popcorn movie, that's pretty impressive. Michael Bay is perfect for Transformers, he took a toy turned 80's cartoon and turned it into one of the biggest blockbusters in 2007, and still holds a top-20 spot for one of the largest grossing films of all-time. Any action movie that's backed by fanbase as large as Transformers, and makes that much money, always deserves a sequel. Also, your name is thisfuckinguy, based on that I'm guessing you're a simpleton and I refuse to put any credence to what you say, we'll leave it at that.

On Why the hell are you excited for Transformers 2? at 06/20/2008 12:36pm

I disagree, and based on the money Transformers made and the academy award nomination, I'd say a lot of people would disagree with you. Michael Bay isn't the best director, but you need to stop watching South Park if you think his movies are that horrible, because that cartoon is clearly brain-washing you. I mean honestly, Armageddon wasn't that bad, and I won't comlain about seeing Jessica Biel in a wet t-shirt in his production of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I can't wait until Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comes out, in fact, I check this website just about every other day for updates: http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will rock.

Care about it.

On Michael Bay talks Transformers 2! at 01/05/2008 01:55am

Michael Bay said the main reason he put Frenzy in the movie was because he was a good replacement for SoundWave. I've heard they are adding a girl robot this time around, which got cut from the original film at the last second. She's pink and purple in color, and I think is a motorcycle.
