On Why the hell are you excited for Transformers 2? at 06/21/2008 3:57pm

to the guy that said he doesn't think transformers warrants a sequel: when something is financially lucrative, it is going to be copied again and again until it is no longer good business. whether or not you thought the first movie was of good quality, don't say it doesn't deserve a sequel when it broke records. that's just silliness. you think the studio execs who greenlight this shit go "hmm, i dunno about a sequel. the 'die-hard' internet fans who make up 2% of the viewing audience aren't overly excited."

to the guy who wrote this whose major point is "stop caring about this movie bc it will suck", i have one question. are you going to see it in theaters? even if the answer is no, do you realize there's no such thing as bad attention except no attention. the mere fact that you just spent a decent amount of time banging out an essay about how bad the franchise sucks is proof that there's buzz going around and buddy, you just contributed to that buzz. if you don't like something, don't go see it and stop bitching about it online. transformers wasn't an oscar winning film by any means but it was exactly what it was supposed to be: a summer blockbuster with monumental special effects and action sequences with a small amoung of character development but just enough to make you care about the characters a little bit. it wasn't a direct remake of the cartoon but that doesn't make it complete shit. if i went in the theater and saw a robot movie with an oscar winning plot and deeply complex characters, i would be fucking confused.

Tom Jane was a pretty badass Punisher but this dude looks even grittier in real life than Jane did in the first movie so we'll all have to see. And I'm going to have to agree with kankuro - hooligans was a smashmouth movie so let's see what happens.

wow i hope it's statham. transporter was kicking peoples asses with a hot chick and a sick audi, crank was kicking peoples asses with a hot chick and a raging boner, and now we can see him kicking peoples asses with a hot chick AND traveling through time. i now have a raging boner myself.
