Australian director Phillip Noyce has directed quite a few good films over the years without ever really emerging as a widely-known "name" in the film business. He's crafted thrillers like "Clear and Present Danger" as well as politically-minded dramas like "Catch a Fire" and "Rabbit-Proof Fence," but his newest film will focus on the real-life story of counterfeiter Art Williams. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Williams will be the central character of "The Art of Making Money." Williams made near-perfect duplicates of hundred dollar bills for years before he was arrested, and even then he continued his multi-million dollar business for some time. Williams was recently sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
Frank Baldwin will write the screenplay, while Brian Robbins is set to produce. Noyce will make the film after he's done with "Mary Queen of Scots" starring Scarlett Johansson.
