The dream of seeing "Peter Jackson's Halo" on marquee lights is becoming less tangible, but no worries: the bearded man and his WETA army have signed on to the sci-fi flick District 9.
Unfortunately, this project really did come after a lot of Halo discussion, as Jackson will produce–and give use of WETA–while Neill Blomkamp will direct, marking his feature debut. Blomkamp was originally in talks to helm the video game adaption.
What's District 9 about, you ask?
Oh, no clue. Not even Variety knows more than it being a sci-fi flick. We can only hope it's more interesting than this Google search.
