News > No Crane Kick for Jaden Smith in 'Karate Kid' Remake

In I want to destroy the 80's news it seems that lovely little child star Jaden Smith thinks he doesn't need to do the Crane Kick in the remake of The Karate Kid.  According Joblo, Jaden would like to base the Karate Kid's moves on a video game.   Wait just in case you didn't catch that… A F**KING video game.

Luckily, we have someone on the inside who is willing to fight for us: it's Jaden's pop Will. We got Will talking on the KARATE KID remake the other day and he said he's "begging" Jaden to include the crane kick in KARATE KID even though Jaden wants no part of it.

Will Smith is producing the film and hopefully he smacks some sense into the bratty child star.  No Crane Kick, I bet next you are going to tell me they are not going to raise Pat Morita from the dead to reprise the role of Mr. Miyagi.

I'll be more than happy to Crane Kick Jaden & his pops, just for ruining a classic.

If I'm not mistaken...Will is the dad and Jayden is the child, Dad rules over child, child needs to shut up!

Couldn't they just make this a Karate Kid 4 or maybe Tae Kwon Do Kid? Karate Kid doesn't need a remake - although Never Back Down was pretty close to being a remake for the 2000's, it could've been titled UFC Kid.

I have a question - why do they keep casting an androgynous Karate Kid?
