Speaking of Frank Miller, there had been some rumors that he would be taking the helm of a new adaptation of "Buck Rogers," but io9 refutes this claim, without much explication. In their words:

Frank Miller is definitely not directing the Buck movie, says Flint Dille, the movie's producer and author of a Buck Rogers graphic novel. This follows on the heels of statements from Nu Image/Millennium Films that "they are still mulling over director contenders." But Dille left the door open for Miller to be involved in the film somehow: "Frank and I are friends, and we'll continue to meddle in each other's projects."

So there you have it. Miller is out, and he may not have ever been in. Such is the internet rumor mill.
