The Touchstone Pictures' comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic has added some proven comedic actors to its cast. Variety reports that John Goodman and Joan Cusack are on-board to play the parents of Isla Fisher's lead character.
Based on a Sophie Kinsella novel, the plot "centers on a woman who must deal with the stresses of mounting credit card debt while trying to navigate the New York magazine world".
John Goodman tends to deliver a solid, watchable performance, but how many of us really want to pay to watch a movie about someone struggling with their job and credit card debt?
