News > McLovin Joins Year One for Apatow and Ramis

Written by David Morgan

Christopher Mintz-Plasse, better known to the world as McLovin from the hit comedy Superbad, is going to reunite with Judd Apatow, on the older man's production of Year One. Directed by Harold Ramis (Caddyshack), it is described only as "a comedy set in biblical times." Oliver Platt, David Cross, Vinnie Jones and Juno Temple have also been tapped for roles.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Platt is in talks to play a platform-shoe-wearing high priest in the comedy, while Jones is on board to play a head palace guard named Sargon. Cross and Temple's roles are not known." Apparently the studio is trying to keep the storyline relatively under-wraps. Ramis wrote the screenplay with The Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.
