"Dead Spy Running," a novel by author Jon Stock has been acquired by Warner Bros. and they are propping McG as the director. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter it "mixes "The Bourne Identity" with the works of John Le Carre."   The goal of the films is to take a new look at spy movies and give the genre more of a cloak and dagger feel than the a high pace action that they have all become.
