Steve Martin and Diane Keaton are reuniting to headline "One Big Happy," a family comedy by "Party of Five" creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman. According to Variety the "concept is being kept under wraps, but sources describe 'One Big Happy' as a family comedy about a couple and a family reconnecting amid various obstacles."
Martin and Keaton last played a married couple in "Father of the Bride" and its 1995 sequel. It's a shame these two (especially Keaton) are stuck in that middle-aged rut where the best role either one can get is "frustrated parent in quirky family" over and over again. They were the best in their fields in the 70s. They deserve better parts than this standard stuff.
