Majel Barrett-Roddenberry will reprise her role as the voice of the Starship Enterprise computer in JJ Abrams‘ Star Trek.  According to Variety the widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, has voiced the role in four "Star Trek" TV series and three films.  She also played the role of Lwaxana Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deana Troi's mother.

She has provided the voice of starship onboard computers for The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, most of the Star Trek films and computer games.
