Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and Zoe Bell (the New Zealander stunt woman made famous by Death Proof) have joined Lionsgate's untitled sci-fi thriller written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (both of Crank fame). The scenario is that mind-control is all the rage in this potential future and people participate in massive multiplayer online games by controlling other humans. The film was originally called Game, but it has since dropped this title, perhaps so as not to be confused with the David Fincher movie.
Gerard Butler plays Kable, the most highly-ranked warrior in the most popular game, called "Slayers." Eventually Kable strives to break free from his mind control and get revenge on those that imprisoned him. Dexter's Michael C. Hall plays the creator of "Slayers," and Butler's main adversary.
Comingsoon reports that "Ludacris is a part of Alison Lohman's resistance group called HUMANZ that is protesting the way that the prisoners are being used as part of these video games." While no one has any information about Bell's part, it's kind of a no-brainer that she'll be involved in some pretty impressive action scenes.
