Relative newcomer Jody Hill is amassing quite an ensemble for his second feature film "Observe and Report." Joining protagonist Seth Rogen will be Anna Faris ("Scary Movie"), Michael Pena ("Crash"), Jesse Plemons ("Friday Night Lights"), and Ray Liotta ("Goodfellas"). Rogen will play the overzealous head of mall security, Ronnie Barnhardt, who finds himself coming into conflict with local law enforcement. Pena and Plemons will play his subordinates on the mall security team. Faris will play a saleswoman in one of the shops and the object of Ronnie's affections. Liotta will play a police detective, Ronnie's natural enemy (The Hollywood Reporter).
"'Super Troopers' flash backs, anyone?" In any event, writer-director Hill caught the eyes of Rogen and Judd Apatow at last year's Sundance film festival with his first feature "The Foot Fist Way," a comedy about a martial arts instructor that will enjoy a limited release this Memorial Day.
