Enchanted director Kevin Lima has been hired to direct Spook's Apprentice, another family fantasy film for Warner Brothers. According to Variety:
[Lima] and the Spook's producing team flew to London last week to work on the adaptation of Joseph Delaney's children's tome, first in a six-part series, about a 13-year-old boy who learns about wizardry from a forbidding old spook.
Though Lima is an animator by trade, it's not clear at this point whether the project will be animated, live action, or some combination. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp were at one time considering adapting the series, but for whatever reason, they've since changed their minds. Matt Greenberg wrote a screenplay, but it's unknown how much of it Lima and Co. will be using.
