"Knocked Up" co-star Katherine Heigl is reportedly preparing to produce and star in "Escape," a film based on the memoirs of Carolyn Jessop, the woman whose testimony helped convict polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs last year.
According to Variety, "Jessop was born into the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints sect. At 18 she married a man 32 years her senior; at 35, she fled with her eight children."
I don't know if anyone's going to buy that Katherine Heigl has had eight children, but it sounds like a hell of a story to tell. No screenwriters or directors have been attached yet, but Heigl will produce with Michael Menchel, Cat Williams, and her mother Nancy Heigl.
