Katherine Heigl will star in the relationship rom-com The Ugly Truth. While we all giggle about her playing the same character, Truth also resurrects the trio responsible for Legally Blonde with director Robert Luketic and writers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith in their respective roles.
The film involves a TV-producer (Pretty Blonde TV Doctor with Problems) who battles her chauvinistic anchor and his series of outrageous tests to prove the dominance of men over women. But, these tests have an unexpected result on both of them according to Variety. What, oh what, could it ever be?
Luketic, McCullah Lutz and Smith have a history of making pretty blonde people with problems fairly entertaining–at least, the times that I catch them on TNT in between The Shawshank Redemption marathons. And Heigl does have awesome comedic timing if Knocked Up has anything to say.
But who should be her Ron Burgundy? We're standing behind Fred Willard. Cause if Seth Rogen can score with Pretty Blonde TV Doctor with Problems, then so can Fred Willard.
