Jim Sturgess and Geoffrey Rush, along with Rachael Taylor and David Wenhem will head the voice cast for Zack Snyder's owl-centric animated film, Guardians of Ga'Hoole. The film is based on a series of children booksby Kathryn Lasky. THR gives the following synopsis:

The film follows a young barn owl and his friends as they join forces with the mythical Guardians of Ga'hoole, owl protectors, to save the owl kingdom from rogue elements.

Village Roadshow and Warners are producing with Animal Logic, which also worked with Roadshow and Warners on the dancing penguin movie "Happy Feet." The film is shooting in Australia.
