The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Isla Fisher will star in the film adaptation of Confessions of a Shopaholic. 

The film is based on the first in a series of novels by Sophie Kinsella and will focus on a compulsive Manhattan shopper who becomes a financial advice columnist.

It will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by P.J. Hogan. Shooting begins this January.
