From Variety:
Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese, who have worked together on "Gangs of New York," "The Aviator," "The Departed" and who are already set to work on a Teddy Roosevelt biopic, are now set to work together YET AGAIN, this time on "The Wolf of Wall Street." The film, based on an upcoming autobiography, surrounds the story of Jordan Belfort, a Long Island stockbroker who went to prison when he refused to cooperate during a huge securities fraud case on Wall Street. DiCaprio will play Belfort. Warner Bros. will produce the film.
Many are drawing comparisons between "Wolf" and "Catch Me if You Can," which was a perfect role for DiCaprio. "Wolf" also calls for a strong second lead, which is also an FBI agent.
"The Sopranos" writer Terrence Winter is set to write.
