I saw this two Sundays ago. I was displeased as usual with this franchise. The only moment in the movie that I thought did justice to the book was the two-three duel scenes at the Ministry and in The department of Mysteries (which was played out as if it was only the Hall of Prophecy. :-\) They even managed to ruin that, though, with everyone FLYING. WTF?!! Any of you who have read the final book would know that only two people can fly without some external means. Voldemort and Snape (Further proving my thought that he was more powerful than Voldemort, just not as determined or as good a leader).

Luna was cast horribly. The girl played her quite well (though, she needs to work on how she speaks. Luna doesn’t speak like that) but she just didn’t look like she should have. Luna is a geek. Not some attractive girl that is a little weird. It was almost as bad as what’s his face playing Moody. They should have friggin’ looked at the pictures in the book in the very least. And the eye is like a glass eye in the book, not some attachment he wears. How the hell is the eye going to play its part in the 7th movie with the way it is? (Trying not to give spoilers here. Sorry if I seem vague)

I must give them props for the casting of Bellatrix and Nymphadora (I seriously must be the only one who calls her that. o.o). Beautifully done. Same goes for Umbridge. She was played so perfectly. I don’t think it could have been any better.

And where the hell was Firenze? They sacked Trelawney but not once did they mention her replacement. And, as we saw, Firenze plays a part in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Another thing that really, really, really, pissed me off was how they made Cho the bad person in giving away the D.A. (I must also give props with how they did the D.A., though the way it was found was totally wrong. The Room of Requirement cannot be broken into by physical means. Only by mental means. And the entrance is never in the same spot twice. It’s in the same hallway, but not at the same spot) when it was actually her friend that did it. :-\

And they ruined the one good joke in the book about the Durselys winning an award for their parched lawn. :(

What part of "movie adaptation" don't you get. It's an adaptation of a 766 page book. I learned to let go of details on Prisoner of Azkaban (which is my favourite), everybody should do the same and lay off the movies. It's not gonna be the exact same thing. Deal.
