Oren Moverman (screenwriter of "I'm Not There" and "Married Life") has cast Woody Harrelson and Samantha Morton in his upcoming directorial debut "The Messenger." According to past reports, the film follows "a young Army officer who is forced to work with a partner he can't stand in the least desirable job in the military. His life becomes even more complicated when he falls in love with a soldier's widow." Ben Foster will likely play the lead while Jena Malone and Eamonn Walker round out the now very strong supporting cast.

Variety says that production on the "road movie" will begin May 20th. Alessandro Camon co-wrote the screenplay with Moverman. Mark Gordon ("10,000 B.C.," "Saving Private Ryan"), Lawrence Inglee, and Zach Miller are producing.
