Tricia O'Kelley (The New Adventures of Old Christine) has earned the lead role in an indie romantic comedy called Weather Girl, and Mark Harmon (NCIS) will play her cheating ex-boyfriend. According to THR:
The film centers on a Seattle morning show weathergirl (O'Kelley) who, after learning her boyfriend (Harmon) has cheated on her, is fired after freaking out on-air. Forced to move in with her little brother and to cope with being 35, single and unemployed, she begins an unlikely romance with a younger man – her brother's best friend.
Blayne Weaver wrote and will direct the film as well as co-produce with O'Kelley. The cast includes Patrick J. Adams (Friday Night Lights) as the new man in Weather Girl's life, Ryan Devlin as her brother, and Kaitlin Olson will play Harmon's co-host on their morning show. Jane Lynch, Marin Hinkle, Alex Kapp Horner, and Enrico Colantonio have also been cast while Andy Richter and Blair Underwood are in final negotiations.
