two fucking thumbs up. Zombie has actually got to the core of this story. Not to take anything away from the original movie which has fueled my love for horror movies, but the questions that I had as an eleven year old are finally anwsered. He took away the babysitter scared for her life and gave us the real story about the killer that will not produce a sequel. Bravo, Zombie keep making movie that show us reality outside of our candy shell. On a side note The 2X4 was fucking awesome you’ll get a bunch of copycat for that. Keep making movie that will scare the shit out of everyone that wacthes them.

You said: "It's a movie. Sorry, but that's just an excuse. Yes, it's a movie and as such it's supposed to entertain. And NO, it was not better than the original. I really wish it was but it wasn't. Just because it "explains" how Myers came to be doesn't make it better. It was a cliched explanation, I've seen it a billion times. Zombie is a creative guy, he could have come up with something better. NO, I'm not mad that "it was better" because it wasn't. I'm disappointed that one of the most promising horror directors out there dropped the ball and made a subpar movie. If you carefully read my review you would know that, if anything, I was cheering for the guy to get it right and that he would make a UNIQUE interpretation not just a bloodier and inept rehash. Alas he did not. I will say that it was better than all the sequels to the original series. At least he got that much right.
You also asked how I would make it better. I can think of way too many ways.
I could have added the things I liked about the movie in my review (and i liked plenty of stuff) but it was pointless as the movie's flaws greatly overwhelm it's good areas.
Look, everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you had CAREFULLY read my review (and that's all it was, a damn review not a hate letter) you would know that I was rooting for this movie's success. it managed to fail. That's all. Doesn't mean you have to agree with me.
