Variety reports that David S. Goyer is attached to direct Baltimore, or The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire based on the graphic novel of the same name by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, who'll also pen the script.
Goyer, scheduled to direct the upcoming Magneto film and a continuation of H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man, will most likely begin this after shooting the Master of Magnetism's film.
The plot is classic Mignola, who created comic series Hellboy and B.P.R.D.
the graphic novel tells the story of the awakening of supreme evil on Earth. Lord Henry Baltimore is bitten by a demonic vampire bat on a WWI battlefield. The plague destroys his family, and Baltimore creates a team to hunt and fight the Red King, the embodiment of all evil.
