News > Fort Takes Murder Mystery "Twilight"

William Gay's southern-set mystery "Twilight" has been optioned by the recently formed indie production house Fort, run by Chad Feehan and Amanda Micallef. According to Variety, "'Twilight' centers on two teen siblings who suspect something's amiss with their whisky bootlegger father's burial and soon learn that an undertaker is manipulating the dead in a small Southern town." I hope "manipulating" means "putting on puppet shows with."

Aside from this particularly dark sounding edition of "The Hardy Boys," Fort has optioned H. Joaquin Jackson and David Marion Wilkinson's "One Ranger" and turned it into a Texas-Mexico border thriller called "Devil's Swing." They've also been developing something called "Venom: The Resurrection of a Hair-Metal God" with screenwriter Eric Nelson. Feehan will shortly make his writing-directing debut with "Underbelly," yet another oddly-titled thriller.
