A perfect example of why you don’t take the unlikeable supporting character of film and give him the sequel. On top of that, you give it a $175 million dolor budget ($25 million larger than Transformers) and it’s a guaranteed flop. No doubt that Carell’s star status has increased, but in no way is he as “Big” as Jim Carey’s, so why not give him a leading role in a new franchise and let Bruce Almighty die with Bruce. This is just another example of Hollywood going too far.
