The remake that makes no sense continues its reign by potentially picking up a leading lady. Eva Mendes may play opposite her "Ghost Rider" co-star Nicolas Cage in Werner Herzog's reimagining of Abel Ferrara's "Bad Lieutenant." According to Variety, Bill Finkelstein wrote the new screenplay based on the 1992 original by Ferrara and Zoe Lund. 

Harvey Keitel starred in the first film as a corrupt cop investigating the rape of a nun. It's not clear at this point what part Mendes will play, but Cage will play the eponymous delinquent officer.
