Me and Zelly go to the movies a lot together. She usually pics. That’s ok. I want her to have good memories of her youth. Letting me pick the movies isn’t going to supply that. I prolly would have seen The Mist or something. That’d get her spooked. Anyhow we saw Enchanted and it wasn’t that bad. It was kind of good actually. Not awesome, and I don’t recommend that you go and see it without a kid. It’s not that entertaining.

It’s the story of a cartoon princess who gets sent to real life New York by an evil witch lady. It’s funny cause she’s all naive and doesn’t really get that life is hard on the boulevard. Mess around like she does in NY city and you might get capped. She doesn’t though because she runs into the dude from Grey’s Anatomy or whatever doctor show it is that isn’t E.R. I don’t watch either one so I can’t tell you. His name is Patrick Dempsey. He’s a single dad and takes this totally cute princess chick into his house, you know, to be nice. Right. She’s cute. A nice little read head. Amy Adams. That’s her name.

She’s the total talent of this movie. She sells the person out of place so well. She is really funny. I don’t know any of her other work but I liked her a lot in this. There is this scene where she sings a song to call local animals to help her do the housework. But this is New York right so what she gets is like gnarly rats and cockroaches and pigeons. It’s gross and really funny. This movie has enough funny little parts that I had no problem sitting through it.

Eventually she starts to thrive in real life and the witch from the other side can’t have that so she comes through to real life and starts wrecking shop in a big way. The movie climaxes with her, as a dragon atop some sky scraper threatening the death of Patrick Dempsey. Oh, Susan Sarandon plays the queen and she looks pretty rad.

Overall this is a pretty good family movie. I mean see it for Amy Adams alone. She’s both cute and funny and that’s always an awesome combo
